The People's Parade

Call out to take part 

From the Cradle to the Rave - one hundred years of music, sport, dance, and pots, in Stoke-on-TrentGroups and individuals who want to take part in a Parade to mark the city's centenary are invited to step forward. Join us for this joyous day where we celebrate what really makes this city great: you!

To take part please complete the simple form below before Friday 14th March. We need safety volunteers, artists, musicians and performers. There are limits to the numbers we can safely include so sign up fast.

We have some ideas for sections that we want to fill

• Alpha to Zillenials - 100 Babies born in Stoke in the 21st century: 
  • Parents - bring your babies to represent Generation Alpha!
  • Young people under 25 - show up to represent Gen Z as you wish to be seen
• Ducks in a Row - we are looking for groups who want to join our flocks of ducks
• Dance of the Mace - dance schools and majorettes - help us welcome Fenton's new Mace to the family and strut your stuff in the Parade
• From Soccer to Soca – you might be a sports team, sports supporters club, carnival squad, dance performance troupe, join in and represent your talents and your team.
• Game Changers - nominate your Stoke heroes/heroines, dead or alive, and let's make them part of the Parade.
• Birthday Cake Walk – walk alongside the Cake! You might be a fitness group, a Zumba class or just love dancing.
• Rave On - art car meets boy racer to a soundtrack of Sacha's rave classics in the

The People's Choice - who or what do you think should be in the Parade? 

Send us your ideas and we will choose the most popular to be part of the Parade. We can provide support in terms of artists, props and costumes so get creative and let us know what you'd like to see in the Parade. 

Music - we plan to have live music, bands and choirs on the day, both in the Parade and in Hanley Park. If you would like to perform, let us know and send us details of what you need and how many musicians/singers are involved.
