You can download a copy of the map showing you where hundreds of people will parade through the city on Saturday 7 June dressed in costumes, waving banners, dancing, and some carrying giant puppets. This bright, colourful map brings the route to life to make it easy for you to plan your day and pick your spot to watch the parade. We’ve highlighted several ‘cheering spots’ with a green star, including the area outside the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery on Bethesda Street. These will give you a perfect view of the spectacular event to mark our city’s Centenary.

The day continues as the parade enters Hanley Park with a free afternoon of music and family fun at Party in the Park. We have a fantastic line-up of local artists to entertain you right through until 6pm. Our map shows you where you’ll find food, the licensed bar, stalls, toilets and the fairground. Bring a blanket, a picnic and come ready to relax and enjoy yourself! We can’t wait to see you there on this special day to celebrate our city’s people, history and culture. Roads will be closed and reopened in sections as the parade passes through each area to keep any traffic disruption to a minimum.

The People’s Parade is a major community event marking Stoke-on-Trent’s first 100 years of city hood. Celebrating Stoke-on-Trent, it will show the world what makes Stoke-on-Trent so special – our people, our history, our heroes, and most of all, our community spirit.
The People’s Parade will feature 1000 community participants, alongside specially made large scale puppets, costumes, live music, dancers and banners, all people-powered (no vehicles). So, everyone and everything in the parade will be walking, pushed or wheeled, but NOT motorised.
The Party in the Park is a celebration event featuring charity stalls, craft vendors, fun fair and a live music stage. There will also be food stalls and an alcoholic bar with food and drink offerings.
The Parade is being delivered by Stoke-on-Trent City Council in partnership with Stoke Creates and supported by Arts Council England. The Party in the Park is being delivered by Stoke-on-Trent City Council supported by PH Production Services Ltd.
