More information on the parade route

The People’s Parade will set off from College Road at 1pm and go along these streets: ·

  • Broad Street
  • Bethesda Street
  • Regent Road
  • Arrive in Hanley Park at around 2.30pm.

You can download a copy of the map above, showing you where hundreds of people will parade through the city on Saturday 7 June dressed in costumes, waving banners, dancing, and some carrying giant puppets. This bright, colourful map brings the route to life to make it easy for you to plan your day and pick your spot to watch the parade. We’ve highlighted several ‘cheering spots’ with a green star, including the area outside the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery on Bethesda Street. These will give you a perfect view of the spectacular event to mark our city’s Centenary.

The day continues as the parade enters Hanley Park with a free afternoon of music and family fun at Party in the Park. We have a fantastic line-up of local artists to entertain you right through until 6pm. Our map shows you where you’ll find food, the licensed bar, stalls, toilets and the fairground. Bring a blanket, a picnic and come ready to relax and enjoy yourself! We can’t wait to see you there on this special day to celebrate our city’s people, history and culture. Roads will be closed and reopened in sections as the parade passes through each area to keep any traffic disruption to a minimum.
