The Longest yarn 2: Britain At War
An exhibition of life in Britain during World War 2, depicted in wool art, in 80 1m length panels. Iconic scenes include: D-Day; The Blitz, the Home Guard, Women's Land Army and many more.
Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, in the Centenary Year of the City of Stoke-on-Trent, Stoke Minster is thrilled to host The Longest Yarn 2: Britain At War, 80 wood art panels depicting significant events and life moments during the war. The exhibition will also feature eight life size models of the services that saved Britain in its hour of need.
